Andy Green is a highly experienced
and well respected broadcast professional working in the
commercial sector of the radio and television industry.
Andy was part of the hugely successful Fox FM team from 1990.
This was the period when almost half the Oxfordshire population tuned in
to the station. During a decade at "Brush House" he
presented every show on the station, including the legendary
Saturday Boogie with the well known catchphrase "Hi Andy - play me
a song on the Fox". In one week in 1998 he did a mammoth
14 hour shift five days on the trot, presenting the evening show, over
night show, early show, and then traffic news from the Flying Fox
helicopter. |

Andy left Fox FM in 2001 to lead a campaign to bring a local radio
station to his home town of Banbury. Under Andy's
management the first Banbury FM trial broadcast in October 2001 was a
huge success, receiving over 5,000 letters of support - a UK record.
At the start of 2002 Andy was invited to join the The Milestone Group
to work on the development of new radio licence applications.
He ran successful trial broadcasts in Andover (Andover FM) and
Leamington (SPA FM); both areas were subsequently granted their own
radio stations.

Andy was promoted to the position of Group Programme Controller,
responsible for the output of Milestone's six full time radio
stations. He relaunched their Oxford service as Passion 107.9,
hiring a new team and moving the station to new purpose built studios,
which Andy designed. Passion 107.9 became the UK's fastest
growing station and achieved ratings which to date have not been
beaten. Andy was keen to develop new talent and in 2005 Passion's
breakfast presenter Bodg (Guy Howard) won the Arqiva Newcomer of the
Year award.
At the same time Andy, together with Managing Director Martin
Mumford, led Rugby FM to become the number one market leading radio
station in its area, topping the market share league tables in
England.

In 2005 Andy took over managing the output of Milestone's Oxford
local television service SIX TV. He introduced a new
innovative method of producing a daily news programme utilising
multi-skilled journalists working across both Passion 107.9 and Six
TV.

In the summer of 2006 Andy joined Tindle Radio, initially as the station
Manager for Kick FM, and quickly was promoted to the position of
Regional Programme Controller for Tindle Radio's four southern
stations. In 2008 he became the Tindle Radio South
Regional Station Manager. During this period Andy took
Kestrel FM to the position of number 1 commercial radio station in its
market place, and into profitability.
Andy left Tindle Radio in the spring of 2009 and set up Andy Green
Media, offering sales,
programming support, music consultancy and training to radio stations and
the fledgling local television market. He also returned to
his first love of stepping into the studio to present programmes.
He has completed work for Celador Radio, Mix 96, Banbury Sound, Newbury Sound,
Reading 107 and Kestrel FM. He is also working with Ultra
Consultancy on a number of projects including local television licence
applications.
Andy still champions new talent and continues to work with fresh
new talent including Lucy Jones, who achieved the Arqiva Newcomer of
the Year Award in 2010 and currently presents entertainment news
across the UK on TV channel 4Music.
